Chairman of the Referees Association of Ghana (RAG), Joseph Wellington has confirmed that the Ghana FA has settled RAG’s outstanding officiating fees to the tune of GHC 200,000.
The amount covers officiating fees of games in the Premier and National Division One Leagues from the period of 2013 to 2015.
Until the outstanding officiating fees were settled, Premier League referees appointed for games were relying on officiating fees of GHC300 each to transport themselves to the match-venue for premier league games.
“It has been cleared. They do not owe us anything. It’s a motivation for the season ahead so it’s ok for us,” Wellington said.
Meanwhile RAG will be publishing officiating officials of match day one on February 17.
