Ghana U17 beat Swiss second-tier side 10-0 in friendly

Ghana's U17 beat the first team of Swiss second-tier side FC Gossau 10-0 in a friendly match played on Sunday evening in Italy.

The Black Satellites have been camping at the Novarello Training Centre in Novara where they are trimming the rough edges for this month's African U17 Championship.

Paul De-Vres scored a hat-trick after grabbing the opener in the 3rd minute. The Wa All Stars player added the second in the 24th minute.

Emmanuel Boateng made it 3-0 after 35 minutes and Oti Essigba snatched the fourth goal on the stroke of halt-time.

After the break, De-Vres got his personal third on 57 minutes before Yaw Yeboah hit a brace in the 65th and 84th minutes respectively.

Benjamin Tetteh also scored two goals in three minutes in the 74th and 77th minutes.

Caleb Gomina finished off the demolishing exercise with the tenth goal on 88 minutes.

FC Gossau, also camping at the Novarello Villagio, agreed to play the Starlets to test their readiness for the resumption of the Swiss Challenge League.

Ghana are expected to play Inter Milan, Juventus and AC Milan before head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin picks his final 21-man squad.

Ghana are in a tough Group at the tournament alongside West African rivals Nigeria and Ivory Coast and Congo. The 2013 African Junior Championships will be held in Morocco from 13-27 April.
