Former Nigeria coach Samson Siasia has warned Ghana to settle their 2014 World Cup play-offs against Egypt at home.
He noted that the Black Stars need to score more without conceding in Kumasi – where the first-leg would be staged on October 15 - in order to make their qualification to Brazil 2014 easier.
“If you have a 3-0 cushion win at home, it is going to make it easier,” the ex-Super Eagles man on the touchline said to Kumasi-based Nhyira FM. “It is also important that you don’t concede because you know how it is like going to Egypt.”
“You should try as much as possible to score as many as you can and ensure you don’t concede. Because once you concede, trust me the Egyptians will score at their home to get to the World Cup,” he added.
The second leg is scheduled for November 19 and the aggregate winner over the two ties books a place at next year’s global showpiece.
