Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sani Daara says the Black Stars will not play any friendly before the team departs to Gabon.
The Black Stars have been camping in Dubai ahead of the 2017 AFCON in Gabon and have played one friendly already with Uzbek league side Bunyokdor winning 2-0 but were expected to play another before the team departs.
But the Communications Director of the GFA says it likely the team will not engage in any more friendly before they leave for Gabon on Friday.
“I am not sure the team will play another friendly game judging from the limited time left. The team will leave tomorrow; Friday to Gabon so it is highly unlikely there will be another friendly”, he told Kasapa Sports from the team’s camp base in Dubai on Thursday.
He also added that the Head Coach of the side, Avram Grant was very happy with the team’s preparation since they moved to their camp base in Dubai.
“I must say Avram Grant is happy with the team’s preparation so far and I can also confirm that there are no injury worries in camp”, he noted.
Ghana plays Uganda on 17th January, 2017 at 16:00hrs GMT to kick start their 2017 AFCON campaign.
