Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Nana Bonsu has called on Ghanaian players who have been tagged 'aged and out of form' in the domestic league to join Nigerian clubs in order to re-launch their career.

The 27-year-old was previously accused of “bribery” in a Swag Cup against Asante Kotoko last two seasons while with Ashanti Gold SC in Ghana, leading to his relegation to the bench. However, he decided not to extend his stay and travelled to Nigeria in 2015 to start all over with the Flying Antelopes in the Nigerian Professional Football League.

"I was told straight in the face that I have taken bribe from Asante Kotoko after our defeat in SWAG Cup last season. Both management members, technical team and some players fabricated such unpleasant accusations against me," Bonsu told Angel FM.

"I never gave up and decided to move on to a different place. I have to appeal to my colleagues in Ghana who have suffered such fate or tagged as old players to join me here in Nigeria. They can make name for themselves with hard work and determination just like I have done this season," he added.

Bonsu also revealed that Rangers, who lead the league log with 60 points, have promised each player a brand new car if they win the title this weekend as they face El Kanemi Warriors.

"Each player has been promised one car by leadership of the club if we emerge champions of the league. We have only a game to finish the season and anything aside defeat will see us picking the title. We have not been able to win the trophy for quite a long time but this season is our time and I think the conditions at the club currently are good. It has played a major role in our incredible run."
