Accra, Feb 15, GNA - The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has extended invitation to some Ghanaian referees to officiate in this weekend's continental matches.
Leading the pack of invited referees is Mr William Abgovi who would handle the first leg action of the MTN/CAF Champions League game between Rail Club Du Kadiogo of Burkina and USMA Club of Algeria in Ougadouguo. Two other Ghanaians, Nicholas Dwomoah and Haruna Ayuba would assist him on the lines.
Also in action is Alex Kotey who has been assigned to handle the game between Sahel Sporting Club of Niger and Save Sport De San Pedro of Cote D Ivoire in the Confederation Cup competition in Niamey. Kotey would also be assisted by Sam Quaye and George Sowah on the lines.
The referees are scheduled to leave Accra on Thursday, February 16, for their respective venues.
