Ghanaians abroad November 3-6 2014: Waris finally breaks duck in Turkey

Over the week, several Ghanaian players were in action, especially in continental competition.

Abdul Majeed Waris finally ended his goal drought for Trabzonspor, whilst Gideon Baah also scored in the Europa League.

There were goals for Razak Nuhu in Cyprus and Samuel Mantey in Egypt.

UEFA Champions League

On match day 4, Enoch Adu played the full match as Malmo FF lost 0-2 to Atletico Madrid.

Kwadwo Asamoah was replaced by Roberto Pereyra seven minutes from time as Juventus beat Olympiakos 3-2.

Frank Acheampong played the full match as Anderlecht drew 3-3 with Arsenal.

Kevin Prince Boateng replaced Max Meyer as Schalke 04 lost 2-4 to Sporting Lisbon.

UEFA Europa League

On match day 4, Gideon Baah scored in the 60th minute and played the whole game, whilst Anthony Annan, who was booked in injury time also started and finished the match as HJK Helsinki beat Torino 2-1.

Daniel Amartey was booked in the 32nd minute and replaced by Thomas Delaney at half time as FC Copenhagen lost 0-4 to Club Brugge.

Sadat Bukari was booked in injury time and played the full match and Seidu Yahaya was booked in the 66th minute and replaced by Takayuki Seto nine minutes from time as Astra drew 1-1 with Celtic, for whom Mubarak Wakaso was replaced by Adam Matthews nine minutes from time.

Elvis Manu was replaced by Jean Paul Boetius in the 62nd minute as Feyernoord beat Rijeka 2-0.

Christian Atsu replaced Aiden McGeady in the 66th minute as Everton beat Lille 3-0.

Samuel Afum replaced Guillaume Hoarau in the 68th minute as Young Boys lost 0-3 to Napoli.

Alhassan Wakaso was booked in the 41st minute and played the full match whilst Emmanuel Okyere Boateng was an unused substitute as Rio Ave drew 2-2 with Steaua Bucharest.

In the Championship, Koby Arthur was replaced by Demarai Gray 16 minutes from time as Birmingham City beat Watford 2-1.

Albert Adomah was replaced by Adam Reach in the 49th minute as Middlesbrough thrashed Norwich City.

In the Serie A, Godfred Donsah was an unused substitute as Cagliari lost 2-4 to Lazio.

Spain

In La Liga, Derek Boateng was an unused substitute as Eibar beat Rayo Vallencano 3-2.

Netherlands

In the Eerste Divisie, Mustapha Yahaya was an unused substitute as Twente II drew with Volendam.

Russia

In the Premier League, Emmanuel Frimpong was booked in the 79th minute and replaced by Felicio Brown Forbes two minutes from time as Ufa lost 0-1 to Terek Grozny.

Cyprus

In the 1.Division, Razak Nuhu scored in the 29th minute, was booked in the 72nd minute and played the full match as Anorthorsis Famagusta beat Nea Salamis 3-2.

Egypt

In the Premier League, Samuel Mantey scored in injury time as Nasr lost 2-3 to Petrojet.

Romania

In the Liga I, Sulley Muniru replaced Christian 16 minutes from time as CFR Cluj lost 1-2 Brasov.

South Africa

In the PSL, Kwabena Adusei played the full match and Edwin Gyimah replaced Donatus Okonkwo in the 76th minute as Mpumalanga Black Aces drew 0-0 with Mamelodi Sundowns.

John Paintsil, who was booked in the 13th minute and Awal Mohammed both played the full match whilst Mike Mohammed replaced Terrence Mandaza in the 60th minute as Maritzburg United drew 0-0 with Bloemfontein Celtic.
