Malaysian side Terengganu are expecting to check out three import players, Ishah Saliu, 25, and Emanuel Aiyitey Carson, 27, from Ghana and Azeez Tajudeen, 27, from Nigeria, to fill the team quota.
The four players will take part in a series of training sessions and friendly games in the Klang Valley from Jan 8-14 before a decision was made, he said. Terengganu are a bit careful in choosing their imports this time after a bitter experience last year.
Then, Terengganu signed Argentinian Silvio Alberto Romero but he was replaced by Ikhogo Figho Charles of Nigeria.
Charles was later deemed to be not contributing to the team and was dropped. Another import player, Seidu Issifu of Ghana, did not have his contract renewed this year.
Terengganu finished at the bottom of the league.
