Ghatel Ladies give to Queens

The management of Ghatel Ladies on Thursday present food items worth 1.2 million cedis to the Black Queens currently in camp at Winneba preparing for the biannual Women's African Cup of Nations slated for Nigeria this month.

The items comprised one bag of sugar, two cartons of ideal milk, one carton of Milo, two packs of hello toilet rolls, five bags of Voltic mineral water and ten pieces of Mcvities biscuits.

The presentation which the management team of Ghatel said was to motivate the Queens as they prepare towards the tournament was made after a friendly match between the two sides (Queens and Ghatel ) which the Queens won 4-1. Presenting the items Leanier Ardey, a management member of Ghatel told the players that the nation was proud of them and tasked them to go all out and conquer the rest of Africa.

Goalkeeper Abiba Sulemana received the items on behalf of her colleagues and expressed delight for the gesture, appealing to other companies and individuals to assist the team.

She appealed to Ghanaians to support the Queens with their prayers and promised that the team would go the extra mile to put smiles on the faces of soccer fans.
