- According to the French website Maxifoot, Galatasaray has offered €4 million to sign John Mensah, However, Olympique Lyon has refused the offer calming that it is not enough. Another offer should be made.
- Egyptian Premier League side Al Masri have released thirteen players including striker Razak Pimpong who joined them in January. The 25-year-old moved in a US$ 200,000 deal from Norwegian side Viking FK for 18-months. But Pimpong failed to make the grades with the Port Said-based side in five-months of his stay at the club.

- Promotion seeking French club Racing Strasbourg have offered a contract to Ghanaian teenager Francis Boadi. The defender excelled on trials with the Ligue Two side which resulted in the lucrative offer. Boadi played for Ghana at the U17 World Cup in Korea some two years ago. A youth international, Boadi had previously been on the books at Accra Great Olympics.
- Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari is a £12million summer target for Tottenham, according to reports in the English media.
- Germany Regionalliga (level 4) team FC Magdeburg signs 20yr Nana Aboagye from JIPPO Joensuu (Finland) for its second team
- Tema Youth striker Edward Affum has been handed a two-week trial by Spanish Primera Liga Osasuna. The 20-year-old produced an electrifying performance for the club this term for the first half of season where he scored five goals. Affum is the second Tema Youth player to be handed a trial session after Richard Annan had a similar deal with German side TSG Hoffeinheim
- Ghana midfielder Isaac Vorsah is a £5 million target for Stoke City. The Daily Mail says the 20-year-old powerhouse has been a big hit in Germany this season playing a key role with Hoffenheim's surprise rise up the Bundesliga. Stoke have watched him several times and believe he will qualify for a work permit after the next round of international matches. The 6ft 5ins tall Vorsah can also play in defence and was voted Ghana's Defender of the Year at just 18.
- Ghana teenager striker Godwin Bonsu is being tracked by Stoke City. Stoke boss Tony Pulis has been alerted of Bonsu's ability by scouts at the recent African Nations Championship. Bonsu is tied to local club Hearts

- Asante Kotoko have agreed a three-year deal with Swiss side FC Basel for the transfer of right-back Samuel Inkoom next season. The transfer fee is speculated to be around a fee of around US$ 700,000 but the move is subject to his medicals.
- Reports in Ghana have linked highly-rated striker Charles Taylor with a possible move abroad with Portsmouth believed to be interested in the 27-year-old. Alongside Portsmouth, Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv are also thought to be scouting the 6.0ft striker.
- Ibrahim 'Rahim' Ayew has agreed a three-year deal with German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee next season.

April 9: French clubs Lille and Marseilles are sword fighting over signing Hapoel Tel Aviv striker Samuel Yeboah next season. The Israeli club has asked 3 million euro for the Ghanaian, who leads it in goal scoring and whose considerable contribution has made it a serious contender for the championship title this season. Both French teams have laid out immediate offers of 2.2 million euro to sign Yeboah. Meanwhile, other European teams have also expressed interest in signing the player, including Greece's Panathanaikos, French Bordeaux are interested in signing Yeboah in the summer whilst clubs such as Cologne, Hoffenheim, Standard Liege and CSKA Moscow have also been scouting the striker over the last few months.
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate is ready to make a move for Ghanaian striker Prince Tagoe in the summer, according to The Mirror. The 22-year-old Ghana international has been impressing a number of clubs with his performances for Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq. A number of clubs currently chasing the striker's signature, with Valencia favourites to sign him.
The Ghanaian striker will become a free agent in the summer when his contract with the Saudi side runs out, and this has prompted the race for his signature.
Boro are in serious danger of being relegated this season, and this could scupper any deal that may go through, with Tagoe maybe preferring to move to the top flight in Spain rather than the second tier of English football. - Scottish side HAMILTON have signed Ghana striker Derek Asamoah until the end of the season. Asamoah, 27, has arrived from French outfit Nice, but has spent the bulk of his career in England with Northampton, Mansfield, Lincoln, Chester and Shrewsbury. He's been capped three times.

- Saturday, 28 March 2009 -- Hearts of Oak defender Godwin Osei Bonsu has been invited for a one-week trial by German Bundesliga surprise package TSG Hoffenheim. The centre-back impressed officials of Hoffenheim during the CHAN tournament where the locally-based Black Stars side won silver. During his stay at the club, he's expected to undergo medicals and released to Hearts of Oak pending negotiations for his signature. Osei Bonsu who is on a season's long loan deal has also attracted several European offers from England, Switzerland and Israel.

The 19 year-old midfielder is tied to Ghana's Hearts of Lions and his agent has confirmed a deal is in-place with Inter Milan. For now, however, Inter are yet to confirm the deal. Tottenham are also tracking Awako. Spurs are keen, but face stiff competition from Inter Milan and Chievo Verona in Italy.

- Feb 17: Russian Champion Rubin Kazan revealed that their interest in Stephen Appiah has vanished as they prepare their team for the oncoming season. No reason was given for the decision.
- Samuel Inkoom could be heading for the Swiss League after interest from that country's Premier Division side FC Basel. The Asante Kotoko rightback shot to prominence lately, breaking into the senior national team, the Black Stars and playing a vital role from his defensive position as the national U-20 side won the African Youth Championships in Rwanda recently.
- Washington Post is reporting that the Galaxy had inquired about free agent midfielder and Ghana captain Stephen Appiah, but have pulled out because they decided the price tag was far too high.
- Feb. 3: Stephen Appiah is currently in Spain training with Rubin Kazan and will play in a friendly vs Dynamo Kiev this friday. The decision whether Appiah will sign should be made this week.

- Everton were hunting Asamoah Gyan on loan, but his club Rennes are reluctant to part with the striker unless they get an £8m transfer fee.
- The January transfer window will close at 5pm on Monday. Spurs are still to offer Stephen Appiah a deal at White Hart Lane, but the deadline does not affect the Ghanaian captain since he is a free agent.
- Cadiff City moved to sign former Arsenal and Birmingham City striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie on loan from Spartak Moscow.
- Ittihad have signed midfielder Ibrahim Abdul-Razak from Liberty Professionals. Abdul-Razak was on trial with Taha Basri's team during the past few days, and has obviously impressed the Ittihad boss. Chairman Mohamed Moselhi said that the 25-year-old signed a one-and-a-half year deal for $150,000 as Ittihad offloaded his compatriot Al-Habib Mohamed. Abdul-Razak had several spells in Europe with the likes of Aalborg (Denmark), Empoli (Italy) and St.Ettiene (France). The defensive midfielder played six times for Ghana and took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. - Jan 28: Welsh Side Wrexham have completed the signing of Uefa Cup winner Christian Atta Gyan, who joins for the rest of the season. The 30-year-old, 23-cap former Ghana international, who can play in defence or midfield, was part of Dutch side Feyenoord's cup-winning team in 2002. Gyan has spent most of his career in Holland, but recently completed a six-month spell at Finnish side TPS Turku.
- Jan 26: Samuel Osei Kuffour, is being linked to a move to Chicago Fire in MLS. The ex-Ghanaian international defender in in the US, and is finalizing arrangement with Chicago Fire for the player to sign on with the club.
- Jan 25 -- Bristol City will not be following up their interest in trialist Jonathan Quartey. The central defender spent the past week training with City's Championship squad and featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Bristol Rovers. Quartey was actively seeking a move to England, but Rovers Boss Johnson yesterday told him "thanks, but no thanks". Quartey is back in South Africa
- New Torino sports director Rino Foschi is chasing Stephen Appiah. The Ghana international is a free agent and has been training with Tottenham this month. Foschi is now ready to bring Appiah, formerly of Juventus, back to Italy.
- Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour has signed a two-year deal with Libyan outfit Al-Ittihad as a free agent. The 2000 African Champions League winner joined the Tripoli-based side after his contract with Kotoko run out last week. Kuffour has had stints with Russian side FC Anzhi Makhachkala and Teraktor Sazi of Iran.
- Goalkeeper Amamoo William has signed for Swedish side Djurgarding after terminating his contract with Telecom Egypt.
- Milan will slap €35m of the €100m expected from the sale of Kaka in front of Roman Abramovich for Michael Essien. The Ghana international is on the way back from injury and could be heading straight for the San Siro, rather than a return to Stamford Bridge.
- Jan 16: Razak Pimpong is trying to secure a move to Egypt in an attempt to resurrect his career. The striker has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Norwegian Premier League club Vikings and is set to hold talks with Zamalek and El Masry over a permanent move.
- Bristol City have brought Ghana defender Jonathan Quartey to Ashton Gate for a week-long trial.

- Abass Inusah is undergoing trials at Egyptian Premier League side Ittihad Alexandria. The 26-year-old moves to Egypt after the expiration of his contract with South Africa Premier Soccer League side Platinum Stars last season. Inusah was a member of Ghana's Under-20 that won silver at the 2001 World Youth Championship in Argentina.
- Newcastle United are rethinking whether to revive their interest in Stephen Appiah after it was revealed that the Spurs trialist was not keen on joining the White Hart Lane club.
Tottenham Hotspur offered the 28-year-old combative midfielder a contract which he reportedly rejected. Talks have stalled since then.
Joe Kinnear has confirmed that he is an admirer of the powerful central midfielder, and may now instigate a move for the Ghanian, says The Evening Chronicle.
The former Fenerbahce player has been out of contract for the past year, and his fitness was a major doubt which is why the Magpies did not move for him in the first place. - Ibrahim Atiku has joined Swedish club Vasalund IF after signing a one-year contract.
- English side Stoke are keen on signing winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie just a day after he was released by Birmingham. The Spartak Moscow's former Arsenal winger has been on loan at the Championship club who could not afford to give him a permanent contract. Stoke are reported in the Sun to be keen on offering ?2.5m for Owusu-Abeyie to enable him seal a permanent move. Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has decided not to renew the loan option of Quincy after his six-month loan deal came to an end. This means that after 13 appearances and scoring three goals the striker will return to Spartak Moscow.
- Reports have linked Stephen Appiah with a move to English outfit Tottenham Hotspur. English newspaper The Independent claims that Spurs have handed Appiah the chance to impress during a trial period at the club's training ground in north London.
- Birmingham have allowed former Arsenal striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie to return to Spartak Moscow. Quincy's six-month loan at St Andrew's came to an end on Monday and Birmingham manager Alex McLeish opted not to pursue an extension.
