Grand Finale of MTN Soccer Academy

* 6 Skuulz Challenge on Saturday*

This Saturday March 9, the plush MTN Soccer Academy House will no doubt be the preferred place for a perfect blend of soccer, fan, entertainment and hob-knobbing with the crème de la crème of diverse fields of endeavours, as the MTN Soccer Academy 6 Skuulz Challenge, finally puts the lid on this year’s Soccer Reality Show with the crowning of this season’s Champion.

The Grand Finale will obviously be the defining moment that will eventually bring an end to the many suspense filled days of the Show as the most anticipated announcement- declaration of the Ultimate Winner is finally made.

The quest for the ultimate prize which officially began with the induction of fourteen (14) team mates from some of the country’s second cycle and tertiary institutions into the Soccer Academy House, have seen the team mates go through seventy-seven (77) days of rigorous soccer training and coaching under the tutelage of one of Ghana’s most respected coaches, Herbert Addo.

Through seven successive Eviction Shows, nine (9) out of the initial fourteen team mates were eliminated from the competition beginning with Albert Amon of Wesley Grammar Senior High School followed by Ernest Malangko- Mfantsipim School and Sampson Abankwah of Presec Begoro respectively, the pair having been evicted on the same day.

Tamale Senior High School’s Mahama Yussif became the fourth team mate to be evicted, after which another pair, Atsu Akwinsive- Awudome Senior High School and Johnson Akortia- University of Education, Winneba followed.

The last three team mates to be shown the exit were Selassie Roy Xavie- IPMC, Theophilus Nketiah- Kumasi Secondary Technical School and Nkum Nana Baffour of Accra Polytechnic.

The five finalists will now vie for the coveted trophy and prize package comprising two Hyundai *i10* saloon cars for player and school, educational scholarship and two week training at Edukick.

The five lucky finalists are Bawa Abou - Wa Senior High School, Ebenezer Commey- Odorgonnor Senior High School, Essau Stephen- Sekondi College, Daniel Azuberi – Bolgatanga Senior High School and Franklin Asante of St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School.

Patrons of the Show and the general public can definitely expect an unforgettable night in a rich display of authentic Ghanaian music and dance from some of the nation’s finest musicians including 4×4, Asem, Chemphe and Kaakie. There will also be splendid cultural performances to add to the pomp and pageantry that has always characterized the finals.

The *Skuulz Challenge* concept is a special edition of the Soccer Academy Reality Show which is aimed at discovering the many young football talents in the country’s educational institutions and grooming them into marketable and competitive soccer brands.

The Grand Finale will be telecast live on Metro TV, the Show’s exclusive TV Partners.
