Grant admits Ghana have tough customers at 2015 Afcon

Ghana coach, Avram Grant says he is aware of the daunting task at the 2015 Afcon in Equatorial Guinea.

The Black Stars have been paired with Senegal, Algeria and South Africa in Group C.

Grant, who was appointed as head coach this month has been tasked by the Ghana FA to ‘do well’ at the tournament without any definite target.

The 59-year-old in an interview with Fifa.com said he would be happy if the team is winning matches and scoring more goals.

“We want to win every game, but we will also need to stay within our process.

“Algeria is the best ranked team in Africa currently, and they were Africa's best performers in Brazil at the World Cup too, while South Africa have done very well including denying Nigeria, the defending champions, a place and chance to defend their title.

“And Senegal is a very good team and it will be tough. It is a hard task, but we all know there are no easy games, especially with this group,” the Israeli said.

Grant named a provisional squad of 31 players last week, but will prune the number down to 26 before the Black Stars leave for their training tour of Spain on January 3, 2015.
