Ghana coach Avram Grant attended Juventus' match this week to monitor fit-again midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah ahead of the 2017 Cup of Nations qualifier this month, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Israeli manager monitoring of the Italy-based midfielder came after news of Kwadwo Asamoah's return from injury.

This was the first time the two have met since Grant took over the job over a year ago as the midfielder has been injured since the former Chelsea boss took charge of the Black Stars.

Grant's visit to monitor the player signals the possible return of the Juventus player for next month's qualifying matches against Mozambique.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who has been tormented by injuries since the start of the season, started the game for Juventus in their 3-0 battering of Inter Milan until he was replaced with four minutes remaining.

Grant was visibly glad over the midfielder's performance in the game availability to his squad ahead of the game against Mozambique in Accra.

Juventus manager Maximiliano Allegri was also delighted with the output of the Ghana midfielder in the game at the Giuseppe Meazza.

There were fears that Asamoah was let for another long injury lay-off after recovering from a knee setback that ruled him out of action for more than one year.

The 27-year-old suffered the injury in his side’s 3-0 win over Inter Milan in their Coppa Italia match on 27 January.

He was also out of action in the Old Lady 2-2 stalemate with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League last month.
