Founder and President of Kumasi based King Faisal Babies Football Club, Alhaji Abdul Karim Grunsah has disclosed that if a coach like Avram Grant had been made our technical director at the World Cup, Africa would have been very proud of Ghana.
Alhaji Grusah believes that lack of technical direction contributed to Ghana’s poor showing at the international event and that, concerned persons had hinted the FA on the necessity of a technical director even before the World Cup but it did not consider their suggestion.
In an interview with sportcrusader.com, Alhaji Grunsah said, “If the FA had listened to some of us and appointed someone like Avram Grant as a technical director before going to the World Cup, Africa would have been proud of Ghana.”
“Some of us have been gifted with vision and we saw some of these things. We said everything about it but it was given deaf ears. But now that we have appointed him, let’s give him the chance and support him to succeed”, Alhaji Grunsah added.
This followed the confirmation of the appointment of former Chelsea boss, Avram Grant as the substantive coach of the Black Stars last Thursday.
