Former European footballer of the year, Ruud Gullit says he is very satisfied with facilities and quality of players at the Gomoah Football academy after a visit to the grounds on Tuesday.
Gullit watched players of the academy in action against Top four champions Heart of Lions and a central region under 17 side.
He told Joy Sports he was impressed with what he had seen at the Academy, which was set up and run by Feyenoord Rotterdam in Holland
?I?m very pleased to see this academy. It looks very good and I think it?s worth putting money into such projects.?
?I was amazed by the matured way the kids played. They?ve got tremendous technical abilities and obviously the coaches are teaching them the European style of play.?
?They have to grow in size though, because they appear too small.? He added.
Gullit will continue his tour today with a visit up north.
Meanwhile Sam Arday, the technical director of the academy is hopeful that Gullit?s visit will motivate the kids at the academy and is confident, a few of his charges will in the next couple of years make the grade for the senior side in Rotterdam.
Gullit?s arrival at the Academy was met with wild cheers from the players at the School.
