Gyimah set to deal in Europe next week

South Africa-based midfielder Edwin Gyimah could possibly be leaving within the next week to pursue opportunities with clubs in Sweden and Turkey, his agent has revealed.

ProSport International have confirmed that they are seeking to reach a deal with clubs in Turkey or Sweden following previous interest in the SuperSport United midfield hardman.

According to the media in South Africa, Turkish club Gaziantepspor, who have been keen since the beginning of last season, have re-ignited their interest, while another club in Sweden is also said to be keen on the Ghana midfielder.

The Turkish club tabled an offer of $400,000 at the beginning of last season, but SuperSport chose to hold on to the 23-year-old.

Mike Makaab of ProSport International admits there are European opportunities in store for the player.

“There are European opportunities that we are pursuing because there has been some interest. I cannot mention the names of the clubs right now, but I am sure in the next seven days we should have a clearer picture,” Makaab tells KickOff.com.

Gyimah has been at SuperSport for the three years after arriving from his homeland, and is now aiming to join several of his countrymen scattered across Europe to increase his chances of becoming a regular in the Ghana national team.
