CAF President Issa Hayatou says he will travel to Seoul from South Africa if both Nigeria and Ghana make it to the final of the ongoing Fifa under-17 World Cup in Korea.
The 61-year old Cameroonian, who is in South Africa for part four of Caf's 50th anniversary celebrations, has promised to make the gruelling 18-hour flight across the Pacific Ocean from Johannesburg to be at the Seoul World Cup Stadium for Sunday's final, but only if both West Africa countries set up an All African Final.
Tournament favourites Nigeria come up against Germany, while ever-improving Ghana will be looking to get past Spain in the semifinals this midwek.
Nigeria beat Argentina 2-0 in Sunday's quarterfinal, with Ghana having eliminated Peru by the same scoreline a day earlier.
The last time the competition was staged in Asia back in 1993, it was Nigeria and Ghana that played the final in Tokyo, Japan.
The Eaglets, with Nwankwo Kanu, Celestine Babayaro, Mobi Oparaku and Emmanuel Okhonebo in deadly form, won the encounter 2-1.
Nigeria beat West Germany 2-0 to win the 1985 event.
Hayatou, a former 400m champion for Cameroon, has been in power since 1988.
