Visiting Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday beat Sekondi Eleven Wise 2-1 in a friendly encounter at Sekondi Gyandu Park.
Wisdom Abbey scored an easy first goal for Hearts in the 24th minute after the team had been put under a huge pressure from Wise attackers who failed to effectively utilise a number of good goal scoring chances that came their way. Osumanu Amadu followed it up with a second goal for Hearts in the 34th minute after which the tempo of the match slackened.
On resumption from recess, Wise opened up fiercely while Hearts played tactically to wade off the attacks.
In the midst of this, Wise earned a penalty in the 85th minute but goalkeeper Eben Dida was up to the task assigned him when he made a grand save of the kick taken by Henry Baffoe.
Another penalty was awarded Wise in the 87th minute. This time keeperDida was not able to make a first time save of the kick taken powerfully by Francis Aduhene as the ball slipped through his fingers only to find Daniel Acquaye's right foot slamming it into the net.
