Hearts have denied claims they contacted Medeama regarding high-flying midfielder Kwesi Donsu.

Media reports in the West African country has suggested the capital-based side had enquired about the availability of the 20-year-old.

Donsu has emerged as a target for many stellar clubs in Ghana following a breakout season with Medeama.

He inspired the side to win the FA Cup crown for the second time, to raise his stakes high on the domestic scene.

But Hearts have denied ever making overtures to sign the talented ex-Berekum Arsenal enforcer.

’’Kwesi Donsu is a very good player though, but as far as I’m concerned, Hearts have never written any letter to Medeama for his services and I don’t know where this reports come from,” Hearts spokesman Opare Addo said.

Donsu is a member of Ghana’s Local Black Stars squad currently preparing for the second leg CHAN qualifier against Ivory Coast next week.
