Ghana defender Nuru Sulley has lauded his former Club Hearts of Oak for making him excel in his career.

The hard working defender is currently one of the best Ghanaian defenders in Europe.

Joining Hearts of Oak from division one Club Tudu Might Jets, the defender made a huge impact having been handed an opportunity by the Rainbow Club.

His performance earned him a place in the home-based Black Stars team where he played a vital role in helping the team win silver at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in 2014.

Nuru, who now plays for Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor has applauded his former Club (Hearts of Oak) for playing a huge role in his career.

“I thank the Hearts of Oak family very much and all my fans for the massive support all these years,” the defender said in an interview with Starr FM.

“Hearts of Oak made me who I am today, they helped me a lot and gave me the opportunity, I really thank them for all they did for me.

“Playing for Hearts of Oak I learnt a lot, the Coaches also thought me a lot, so I am very happy and privileged to play for such a Club.”

The 24-year-old will be hoping make the cut for the 2017 Cup of Nations in Gabon.
