Hearts part ways with coach Vucicevic

The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club on Friday announced its decision to part ways with their Sebian coach Nebojsa Vucicevic on mutual grounds.
The Serbian coach has gone through a number of agitations, especially from the supporters after a streak of unimpressive performances by the team with a clamour for his exit.
A press release issued by Ashford Tetteh Oku, General Manager of Hearts, copied to GNA Sports said the decision was arrived at ‘during a cordial meeting on Friday, during which Hearts agreed to discharge all its obligations under the employment contract, and both parties wished each other well in all future endeavours’.
Coach Nebojsa Vucicevic was appointed head coach of Hearts on February 4, 2011.
Mr Tettey-Oku said assistant coach Shaibu Tanko will take temporary charge of the team until the Board of Directors approve the appointment of a subsequent coach within the shortest possible time.
The General Manager appealed to the supporters, well wishers and sympathisers of the Phobian fraternity to cooperate with the management to ensure the club gets back to its winning ways.**
