Herbert Addo's demands could scupper Hearts move

Herbert Addo is the frontrunner for the Hearts of Oak coaching job but his wage demands could scupper negotiations, according to reports.

The former Inter Allies coach is believed to be demanding in excess of GHC8,500 as monthly salary.

According to a Sportcrusader source, Addo is also believed to have made a huge financial demand as his signing on fee before penning a three-year contract.

“We have discussed into details all contractual issues with Coach Herbert Addo but there seem to be some minor issues concerning his financial demands which we are currently discussing,” an anonymous club official was quoted by sportscrusader.com

“Apart from these demands we are ok with all others. Hopefully we should come to a positive conclusion by the close of the day but for now nothing concrete has been agreed on between the two sides.”

If a deal is reached, he will be making a return to the club he led for two seasons before leaving in 2003.

Addo earned rave reviews for steering debutants Inter Allies, who were at foot of the table after the first round, to finish sixth at the end of the Ghana Premier League season last term.
