Herbert Mensah charges GFA boss to recommend competent person as his successor

President of the Ghana Rugby Association, Herbert Mensah has urged the president of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi to recommend a competent person to succeed him when leaves office in 2019.

The CAF 1st vice has confirmed that he will not seek for re-election when his term of office ends in 2019.

According to the former Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nyantakyi's decision not to seek for another term in office means he wants to leave the stage when the applauds are high but however charged him to recommend a competent person to succeed him.

“The best legacy Kwasi Nyantakyi can leave behind is to have a successor who is capable of taking Ghana football to another level and not one who will join the family group."

The Wa All-Stars bankroller was voted into power in 2005 and has helped the country to qualify for the World Cup three times, 2006 in Germany, 2010 in South Africa and 2014 in Brazil respectively.
