Homeless World Cup - Ghana In Second

Ghana leapt to the second round of the ongoing Homeless World Cup in Melbourne -Australia after a convincing 18-0 win over Cambodia in their first match of day 3 at the Melbourne 2008 Homeless World Cup.

From the outset Ghanaians used their superior physicality, skill and teamwork over the Cambodians with great effect to score 6 goals within the first 4 minutes.

Prince Boadu scored the first of his four goals for the match and the first of the Ghanians 18, after only a minute when a quick interplay of passes bamboozled the Cambodian defence.

Many of the 18 goals that Ghana ended up scoring came from the same quick team play that has heads turning at the Homeless World Cup.

Despite coming out firing in the second half, Cambodia were unable to turn the tide conceding a further nine goals.

Only a number of great saves by the Ghanian keeper kept the brave Cambodians from opening their scoring late in the second half In the second match of the day, Ghana defeated Sierra Leone 11-3.Interestingly Ghana played all her matches with eight players.
