GHANA FOOTBALL Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi is banking his hopes on the numerous achievements he has chalked as boss of Ghana soccer so see him through in the next GFA elections.
Lawyer Nyantakyi is of the conviction that he has lived up to expectation as GFA boss and therefore his track record would help him secure the votes needed to retain his seat.
'I don't need any campaign to help me retain my seat as the GFA president,' he said in an interview on Kessben FM in Kumasi.
Mr. Nyantakyi has helped qualified Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars, to the FIFA World Cup twice, a feat which hitherto had not been achieved by his predecessors.
During his tenure, Ghana also made history by becoming the first African country to win the World Youth Championship played in Egypt in 2009.
Mr. Nyantakyi is seeking re-election as GFA president later on in the year and he is being challenged by Vincent Sowah Odotei and Neil Armstrong.
The reigning GFA boss said he doesn't need to embark on a vigorous campaign before beating his challengers for the seat, as his landmark achievements are clear for all to see.
