The President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has distanced himself from the ongoing managerial scuffle at Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

Nyantakyi who has in recent time been linked with having a preferred candidate to take over as Chief Executive officer of the Porcupine Warriors has denied he is lobbying for a change at the club.

“First of all I have a relationship with Otumfuo which is beyond Kotoko,” Nyantakyi told Accra based Happy Fm

“Otumfuo owns Kotoko and he takes his decision so he is the only one who decides what is good for the club.”

“I don’t have any problem with the current general manager but it got to a time that people started sharing their opinion, between the board and management but that is it.”

“I do not own Kotoko all I can do is to give an advice, because at the end of the day all we seek is the interest of Kotoko.”

“Because Hearts of Oak is doing well if we have Kotoko doing well it will be in the interest of Ghana football.”
