Former Ghana Black Stars centre-back, Samuel Osei Kufuor, reveals he has gotten over the Kumasi Asante Kotoko disappointment and is now focused on the future but nothing else.
The Bayern Munich great, was in the spotlight with a near-move into an administrative position at Kotoko – record Ghana Premier League champions – as a replacement for Opoku Nti [the current General manager].
Kufuor claimed after meeting with the life patron of the club, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, he was going to get the position but an official statement from the royal house denounced such assurance.
And Kufuor, speaking for the first time on the issue to Accra-based Citi FM said; “Football is football and if it [the position] presents itself again, why not? I will.
“I have quit football [in terms of playing] and have moved on with the disappointment.
“I have children to raise and people who look up to me as well and my employees to satisfy too, and that makes me keep focus on the future than the past. I don’t care about the past and it remains as such.”
