The Executive Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kofi Kodua Sarpong says he has always had faith in Maxwell Konadu’s ability to deliver on the job.
Dr. Sarpong told Accra-based radio station Citi FM that he felt that Konadu had what it took to achieve success with Asante Kotoko, adding that the results are there for all to see.
‘I had so much faith in him because on paper he has what he takes to do the job. So all that he needed was to be humble and to apply himself to the job and so far he has performed very creditably.’
Dr. Sarpong also told Citi FM that the coach, who has taken Kotoko to within a win of annexing the Premier League title, knows that the project has only just begun.
‘He knows that we have a long way to go and so he will not rest. We will develop him further so that he can continue delivering.’
Dr Sarpong revealed that the ex-Wa All Stars head coach could stay at Asante Kotoko for as long as he continues to deliver results.
'Maxwell can be like Sir Alex Ferguson. he can stay at the club for as long as he continues to deliver results.'
