The coach of Power Dynamos Tenant Chilumba has served notice he is ready to face off with Al Khartoum in the Caf Confederation Cup.
The Sudanese side recently sealed a two-year deal with the ex-Ghana boss Kwesi Appiah, but despite his Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup experience, Chilumba said he is unfazed by that and poised to slug it out with him in the Confederation Cup preliminaries.
“I am not intimidated and will face him just like I do any other coach. Although he has coached the national team, we are both senior and qualified coaches,” Chilumba told the local media after the draw.
The first leg of the second-tier inter-club competition of the continent comes off in February.
Appiah was the first Ghanaian coach to guide the Black Stars to the global showpiece in Brazil 2014. The Ghana FA parted ways with him mid-September during the Nations Cup qualifiers for Equatorial Guinea.
