I spent 30 minutes to decide on Hearts job - Addo

Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo has revealed that he spent just 30 minutes to make up his mind to rejoin the Phobia family.

The 2010 Ghana Premier League winning coach with Aduana Stars said he was asked to meet the “big man” and within half an hour he was convinced.

“There is a new change, especially with the chairman of the board of directors. He has got ambitions and wants to do everything differently,” the former Inter Allies tactician told Accra-based Metro TV.

“It took about 30 minutes for Hearts to convince me. I was asked to meet the big man [Togbe Afede] and I was convinced.”

Addo replaced former Ghana international Mohammed Polo. Fans of the Rainbow club believe he has got the Midas touch to transform the club.

“I am not surprised. Everybody wanted two teams to join Inter Allies to go down, but when I came on board I told them I was going to get them out of the relegation zone and I did,” Addo recalled.

“I lost only two in 60 games [in my first year], we are going to win everything put before us, starting with the Top 4.”

On whether the club have the players to help him achieve his set targets, Addo noted: “They have got good players, but they are lacking the technical aspects. We will get them fit. Hearts of Oak can achieve everything in football this season. I will like to win everything.”
