I want to score more goals for King Faisal – Prince Boateng

King Faisal striker, Prince Boateng hopes to continue the second round of the Ghana Premier League in similar fashion as he did in the first round with some crucial goals for club owned and bankrolled by Alhaji Karim Gruzah.

The Black Satellites striker scored three goals in the first round, most notably striking against both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko which on both occasions he rescued Faisal from defeat. The 17 year old who came through the ranks of the Faisal youth system is now hoping to hammer in the goals on a regular basis when the top flight resumes this weekend.

“It was a great feeling scoring against the two big traditional teams in the country, Hearts and Kotoko but I don’t think as a striker that is enough,” he told Gbc Ura Radio Sports in Bolgatanga.

According to the striker, he has scored only three goals in the first round and is now targeting more goals in the second round. “I want to do more to help Faisal. Looking at the league table, it is going to be a very tough round for all the teams since every team will be fighting for the maximum points,” he noted, The teenager hopes that he would find the back of net on a regularly basis in the second round of the Premier League.

Boateng’s two goals against Hasaacas in last season’s Middle League playoffs qualified King Faisal back into the Premier League following a season’s demotion to the second tier league.

Meanwhile, King Faisal will trek to Accra to face Hearts of oak in their first match of the second round of the Glo Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
