Accra, June 24, GNA - Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has denied ever saying that Black Stars coach Ratomir Dujkovic was being influenced in his player selection ahead of the June 18 epic World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
Rather, he said information reaching him at the time suggested that some interested parties were lobbying to get their favourites into the team, which he frowns on.
The GNA Sports carried a story in South Africa after the Black Stars-Bafana Bafana match to the effect that Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe had alleged that the coach was being influenced in his player selection. But in a quick reaction, the former GFA boss told the GNA Sports on Friday that what he really meant was that there were people who were scheming to ensure that their favourites were fielded, "of course this I will always kick against."
"It is only a hypocrite who would pretend that no undue pressure is brought to bear on coaches by all manner of people in times like this, but I know Dujkovic is his own man", Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe told the GNA Sports at his clinic at the Zongo Junction in Accra.
