Impilo Ghana FC to play Okuapeaman FC in first official game

Eastern region division two campaigners Impilo Ghana Football Club (FC), will officially mark their entry unto the Ghanaian football landscape on Sunday, March 10, 2012 with a game against Okuapeaman FC.

The game is expected to come off at the Presbyterian Training College (PTC) Big Park at Akropong Akwapim where the home team, Okuapeaman FC, is very strong.

They have vowed to give Impilo FC a baptism of fire on Sunday as a welcome note to the third tier of Ghana football and in a region where the level of competition is intense.

Impilo FC will play in the Eastern region division two league which is expected to start soon, and are engaging in a series of friendly matches to make themselves battle ready before the season gets underway.

The team is currently in training under the tutelage of helmsman Harrison Clinton who has been tasked by management to put the boys in shape to compete at the highest level.

Club CEO, Kwabena Osei Bonsu has said that the team is poised to mount a serious impact in Ghanaian football circles and has targeted to make it to the first division by qualifying from the Eastern region this season.

Sunday?s game at Akropong Akwapim will therefore test their battle readiness for the regional league as they face an opposition that is well versed in football affairs in the region they will be competing in.

Okuapeaman FC also plays in the regional division two league and are also preparing for the start of this seasons event with an eye of booking a place to the division one league.

A fierce game is therefore anticipated at the PTC Big Park on Sunday when two high spirited sides test their battle readiness before the start of the league season.
