Injured Wakaso vows to return stronger

Ghana and Las Palmas midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says he has begun work to ensure he returns to the field ahead of time and stronger than he has ever been.

The 25-year-old Ghana international is desperate to prove himself in Las Palmas after only making a cameo appearance under new boss Quique Setien.

The Ghanaian was given the last few minutes in the 2-0 loss to Valencia, a game in which he picked up a thigh problem.

Wakaso has been in stupendous form for his country in the last year but has struggled for game time at club level.

With this latest setback set to keep him out of action for the next four weeks the Ghanaian says he is working hard to return in time and stronger.

“I have already started work to ensure that I return in time and stronger than before,” Wakaso said GHANAsoccernet.com

“These things happen but the only thing is to ensure I work hard and return stronger than before.”

Wakaso scored a brilliant free-kick to set Ghana on the way to a 2-0 victory over Comoros in the 2018 world cup qualifier last month.
