Care taker coach of Hearts of Oak, Eddie Ansah has admitted the difficulty his side had to endure before beating Berekum Chelsea on match day 29 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League last Sunday but bemoans his side’s lack of firing power in the game.

The Phobians in the first half of the game were held to a goalless draw game by brilliant Berekum Chelsea but in the second half they came in strongly despite scoring three goals they missed clear goal scoring opportunities and they nearly got punished as the away side had two consolation goals as the game ended 3-2 in favour of the Accra based side.

The win thus take Hearts of Oak to the 5th position on the log sheet with 42 points and their quest to earn a top four place at the end of the season is still on course.

However, Eddie Ansah has admitted the difficulty his charges had to endure before edging Berekum Chelsea in a five goal thriller at the Accra sports stadium but was not pleased with his side’s conversion rate in the game.

“It was a hard won victory for us, it was a game of two halves, Berekum Chelsea came in the first half and played good football and in the second half we came into the game strongly, but we missed some chances in the first half. If had taken the chances that we created it would have changed the trend of the game in the first half.

“We missed those glaring chances that we were supposed to have scored,” Ansah told the press after the game.

Next weekend Hearts of Oak will play their last game of the season in an away game against WAFA at Sogakope.
