It was a surprise' - Augustt

Accra, Oct 5, GNA - Ken Augustt, head coach of Accra Great Olympics has described their 3-1 defeat suffered at the hands of Tano Bofoakwa in the fifth week league game played at the Ho Stadium on Wednesday as a big surprise.

He told the GNA Sports that he could not prescribe any reason for the defeat, as he was stunned by it as well as the score-line. Coach Augustt added that there was no need to blame any one for the defeat because such things happen in the game of football.

I take it in good stride and we have to go back to the drawing board to re-strategise for the next game against Power FC.

He said the shocking defeat had thought them some useful lessons, which would be taken into consideration in the coming matches. Coach Auggest said, they had realized that, no team could be underrated in the premiership because any of them was capable of causing havoc at anytime, making the league a very competitive one. The coach is hoping to make amends in the next game against Power FC at the same venue in the sixth week fixture, scheduled for Sunday, October 15.

"All the teams are of equal strength and therefore we will approach the game with all the seriousness it deserves." Coach Auggust stated.

The coach who is on record to have guided the successful return of the wonder club to the premiership a year after they were relegated believes with the appropriate remedies, his team will record a pleasant result in their next game.

The club has not experienced a smooth campaign in the premiership so far despite their triumphant return.

They have won two games, lost two and drawn one in the five-week old premiership and are placed seventh on the 16 team table.
