J.Y Appiah Threatens Court Action Against Arthur

The Chairman of Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Mr. J.Y Appiah is demanding within one week a total of 1.1billion cedis in compensation from Mr.George Arthur, Chairman of B/A United and three media houses for claims and comments he says are defamatory of his person.

He is demanding that George Arthur compensates him for 500million cedis, retract remarks he made which imputes fraud to the Ghalca Boss and render an unqualified apology within a week or face a court action.

Similarly, the Daily Graphic, Radio BAR in Sunyani and FOX FM in Kumasi must each pay 200million cedis, render an apology and retract malicious comments published or aired of him which mainly emanated from claims by George Arthur.

The Ghalca Boss alleged that George Arthur has through commentary and remarks to the media accused him of fraudulent acts in respect of player movements in B/A United. He said while this went on, he had remained silent in the hope that Mr.Arthur would put an end to his malicious claims but this he failed to do hence his claims on Arthur to compensate him for soiling his name. In the case of the three media houses, Mr.Appiah said they gleefully offered Arthur the platform to make the unfounded allegations, which has tarnished his good image .He will similarly take them to court if they fail to honour his demands within one week.
