Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko has re-joined Turkish side Eskisehirspor on a three-year deal, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The centre-back is making a return to the Red Lightenings six months after terminating his contract with them.
GHANASoccernet.com understands the 25-year-old has the option to leave the second-tier side to a Super Lig club if they fail to gain promotion in his first year at the Eskisehir Atatürk Stadyumu.
His UK-based agent Ibrahim Sana brokered the deal.
Akaminko was in their books when he sustained an injury during a pre-2014 FIFA World Cup friendly against the Netherlands.
As a result, he sat out the entire 2014/2015 season without kicking a ball as he went through rehabilitation.
Akaminko started his Turkey adventure in the 2008-2009 season with Orduspor before switching to Manisaspor from where he was signed by Eskisehirspor in the summer of 2012 for 1 million 350 thousand Euros.
Eskisehirspor were relegated at the end of last season’s Turkish top-flight campaign.
