Joetex wins Nigerian League with Enyimba

After helping his team to win the Coca-Cola FA Cup, in Nigeria, Ghanaian international, Joetex Frimpong, who is a member of the Ghana?s provisional squad for the Africa Nations Cup, in Egypt, has won the 2004/2005 Nigerian league with former double African Champions, Enyimba FC of Aba.

Enyimba were crowned Nigerian champions for the third time, last Sunday, after their opponents, Gabros International failed to show up in Aba for the last match of the season.

?It?s great to win the Nigerian League again after losing to title to Dolphins, last year. Don't forget we were champions in 2003.

"This title would certainly boost my performance in the Nations Cup squad. It?s a special year for me because after helping my team to win the Coca-Cola FA Cup, I was voted the Most Valuable Player,? he said.

The Ghanaian International has since become one of the biggest stars in the Nigerian football scene with his impressive outing for the Aba side, popularly called, the Aba Elephants.

He has a record 14 goals in CAF Champions League and was featured on the cover of the December edition of Nigeria?s most popular football magazine: KICKOFF.
