Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has begun bicycle work to correct an ankle injury he picked up during last Saturday’s international friendly defeat to Senegal in Le Havre, France.
The centre-back has joined his French Ligue 1 outfit Evian TG and started treatment.
Mensah was forced to limp out of the match after a tackle inside the Ghana box and was replaced by Daniel Amartey.
“I arrived at the club base after Ghana’s second friendly game against Mali with the small knock I had in the game against Senegal and in order to be fully fit I have started bicycle riding,” the 25-year-old is quoted by Sportsicononline.com.
Evian TG are yet to announce how long the defender would be out but he is unlikely to feature against Nice away on Saturday.
