Juventus are ready to cut a deal with Middlesbrough, that will see Ghana international midfielder Stephen Appiah arrive at the Riverside.
The deal itself has been on the cards for some weeks now and Boro chief Keith Lamb flew to Turin this week to tie up the signature, and so far so good. Juventus have accepted a preliminary bid of ?3 million for the midfielder.
The next move is to talk to the player and agree personal terms, but it is thought that Appiah is open to a move to England, and Middlesbrough will be hoping to make sure that move is to them.
