Konadu's Satellites mandate to be extended

Information reaching Footy-Ghana.com indicates that the interim Coach of the National Under-20 team, the Black Satellites, Maxwell Konadu will continue to handle the side at the 2013 Africa Youth Championship in Algeria.

Footy-Ghana sources say the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association will soon inform Konadu of their decision to have him continue to handle the Satellites team after the Black Stars return from the Africa Cup of Nations which ends in February next year.

Konadu who doubles as the assistant Coach of the Black Stars qualified the team to the upcoming African Youth Championship. He took the team on a temporal basis after Orlando Wellington resigned from his post as the Head Coach of the Black Satellites.

The Black Satellites will know their opponents next month when the draw for the African Youth Championship is held on December 9th.

Benin, Egypt, Gabon, Mali, Nigeria and DR Congo have also qualified for the finals with Algeria as hosts.
