Kostadinov given 2 years

Premier League side, Heartland FC have given new Bulgarian Technical Adviser, Mitko Kostadinov two years to return the club back to winning ways.

Speaking to allghanasoccer.com,the Chairman of the club, Ignatius Okeahialam said, the club signed a two year contract with Kostdinov with a mandate to turn the club around in that period and make them a winning team again.

"We want to win the League again. We want to win the FA Cup; we want to get back on the continent. That is the place Heartland should be," Okeahialam said.

"He is quite happy with the terms of his contract that made him leave his former club and join us but he must work hard to return the club to winning ways in the two years we have given him," Okeahialam said.

"We have a good team already and we have good players but placing fourth in the league and FA Cup is certainly not a good result for us and these are things Kostadinov must check and correct."

Kostadinov will work with Kelechi Emetoele as chief coach and Ben Iroha as assistant coach and Okeahialam says that he believes all three will work together for the collective good of the team.

"You see when you contract people and give them their papers, they read it, understand what is there and put down their signatures so they know how to work. We have three professionals working after they have been given contract papers and you expect harmony. I have spoken with them and I know they will work together. They all know that somebody must be head of the crew so they are and will work together."

Kostadinov last coached Accra Hearts of Oak and worked with them last season while Kelechi Emetoele is currently with the national beach football team. Ben Iroha is assistant coach of the U-17 national team currently in South Korea for the World Cup.
