Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe has encouraged the supporters of the club to rally behind Executive Chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei when the going gets tough, saying he cannot do it alone.

Dr Kwame Kyei has been criticized for his poor handling of Kotoko's transfer business with Esperance which resulted in a $240,000 fine being imposed on the club by world football governing body, FIFA.

The life Patron of Kotoko Otumfuo Osei Tutu II following recent happenings in the club has formed a three-member committee to investigate the issues at club.

Despite the criticism from a session of the clubs supporters, the former goal poacher has thrown his weight behind Dr. Kwame Kyei who has come under criticisms for mismanagement.

According to him, it is about time the fans support the clubs chairman to achieve his target rather than lambasting him.

“I have not taken money from Dr Kwame Kyei but whatever be the case we have to support him so he can accomplish his visions for the club. He cannot do it alone”

“Personally, I can’t blame him for recent Kotoko issues because he is a man that loves the club and has ordered people to take care of certain positions. The truth is that he is not god to see everything and that is why he has delegated some of his powers to people”

“So if things are not going on well for the club, there should be an auditor to audit so we can know where exactly the problem is” he told Vision FM.
