Kotoko Secure Arhin-Duah's Release

After months of management consultations between officials of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Obuasi Goldfields, both clubs have finally settled one of hottest transfer moves of this season. Nana Arhin-Duah has now moved from Goldfields to join the Porcupine Warriors.

Credible sources told myjoyonline.com that the player whose contract with Goldfields ended after the last soccer season directed his club’s management to release him to Asante Kotoko.

After preliminary negotiations between both clubs proved futile, officials of Kotoko lodged a complaint with FA’s Arbitration Committee.

The player who together with his former play mate, Aminu Musa had expressed interest in donning the porcupine colours started training with the Kumasi based club only for Aminu to revert to his old club.

Arhin-Duah who was also on the recruitment list of Kotoko’s rivals, Hearts of Oak stayed on with Kotoko insisting that he wanted to play for them this soccer season.

He has scored some vital goals for Kotoko since joining them and is expected to be one of their strikers this season.

With the green light given, Asante Kotoko is expected to field the player in their first leg African Cup Winners match on Sunday against Sonangol of Angola in Kumasi.
