Kotoko To Appear Before Disciplinary Committee

Vanquished Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who are still brooding over their 3-0 bashing by Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday, are to appear before the Ghana Football Association's disciplinary committee for their "ungentlemanly conduct which brought the game into disrepute".

Kotoko refused to use the dressing room for fear that their players could be hypnotised under a black magic they suspected to have been planted by Hearts officials in their dressing room. They therefore chose to dress up on the tartan track. A source at the GFA told the Ghana News Agency Sports in Accra that much as the association has no specific regulation, which compels teams to use the dressing rooms, Kotoko's action could attract a sanction on grounds that it brought the game into disrepute.

The source said there is no fixed sanction for such offences but the committee would use its discretion based on the evidence adduced and reasons assigned by Kotoko for its action. He said the GFA would meet later to find ways of incorporating a specific article with appropriate sanction for such a conduct.
