Kotoko and AshGold supporters to meet over impasse

Kumasi, April 8, GNA - The leaderships of the National Circles Council of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Supporters Union and Ashgold Supporters Union will meet to resolve the impasse amicably between the Clubs. A release from the National Circles Council Secretariat of Kotoko Supporters Union signed by Mr Godfred Boateng, National Secretary in Kumasi, said its attention has been drawn to a petition by Ashgold supporters to their Management calling on it to stop Kotoko from playing their continental matches at the Len Clay Sports Stadium at Obuasi. It said the Circles Council takes cognisance of the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by supporters of the two Clubs and their respective managements and would therefore not want such a cordial relationship to be soiled.

The release said the Circles Council also appreciated the material and physical support given Kotoko before, during and after the Club's continental matches.

"In view of this, the leadership of the Circles Council has resolved to meet the leadership of Ashgold Supporters Union on Tuesday, April 11 at Obuasi to resolve the impasse amicably".
