Kotoko board delays management team formation

The Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko is still in consultation over the formation of a management team and personnel for its administrative structure.

The club’s official newspaper Asante Kotoko Express on Tuesday claimed a board meeting over the weekend could not decide on anything concrete.

Board Chairman, Paul Adu Gyamfi, revealed that, something definite would be coming out soon but the Board Chairman couldn’t give an exact time when Kotoko will have a substantive Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in addition to a properly established administrative structure.

Since September 2013, Opoku Nti has been acting as the General Manager of Kotoko with support from George Kennedy who has been in-charge of operations. Nti’s initial three-month mandate expired in December 2013 but he was given a renewal until further notice.

Previously, until the Executive Chairman, Dr. K.K. Sarpong resigned in July 2013; the club had offices such as Administrative Manager, Media and Supporters Relations Manager, Projects Manager and International Relations Manager.
