Asante Kotoko could advance past the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League without kicking a ball after Secretary General of East End Lions, Abdul Rahman Davies revealed that the Sierra Leonean champions may not participate in the competition.
“I don’t think the Lions will be competing in the clubs continental big stage because I have not seen their willingness yet,” Rahman told Football Sierra Leone.
The Killers, who are scheduled to face the Porcupine Warriors in the first leg in Freetown next month, are yet to reveal their plans for the continental club competition.
Kotoko are keen on impressing in the CAF Champions League after crashing out of last season’s competition to Liberian side Barrack Young Controllers.
