Kotoko release 'bad boy' striker Yahaya Mohammed

Asante Kotoko have released Yahaya Mohammed to bring an end to a long drawn out tussle over the forward’s future, Kumasi-based Metro FM have reported.

The 25-year-old was reportedly looking for a way back into the club having been slapped with an indefinite suspension after covertly signing a pre-contract agreement with Libyan club Al-Ittihad.

Yahaya’s move to the Tripoli-based has however hit a snag – promoting reports of his return to Kotoko.

But the Ghanaian giants appear to have had enough of the dread-locked hairstyle striker and have decided to cut all ties with him.

This means the ex OGC Nice player is available on the transfer market as a free agent.

No club will therefore need to pay any transfer amount to secure his services.

Yahaya joined Asante Kotoko in 2011 but wasn’t rated that much until after excelling on a season’s-long loan deal a year later at Amidaus Professionals.
